This South East Discovery full-day tour whisks you away by speedboat during which you will take in the splendor of the Southeast coast and all the nearby islands making you truly feel like you are in paradise.
This package not only takes you to the famous Île aux Cerfs island and the spectacular waterfall of the Grande River South East, but also to the islands of Île aux Phares and Île de la Passe. It also gives you a great opportunity to get to know a little bit more about the history of Mauritius and its colonial period. Île aux Phares is a fantastic example of where history meets nature with its lighthouse dating back more than 200 years surrounded by incredible turquoise water and sea life.
The two islands are the silent witnesses to battles between the French and the British, known as the naval battle of Grand Port, it is also the only victory of the Napoleonic Navy and was subsequently recorded on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
In addition to the historical aspect, you will be stricken by the distinct contrast between the opposing sides of the islands which in itself is breathtaking: on one side you will find the calm turquoise lagoon, and on the other, the big waves of the Indian Ocean smashing against the breakers of the island. The next stop is Ile aux Aigrettes and time for a swim if you so choose before heading to Île aux Cerfs where lunch will be served. Here you have time to relax, sunbathe, chill out on the beach or just splash around in the crystal clear water of Île aux Cerfs. Whatever you decide our team is on hand to help create memories of a lifetime.
