Mauritius: Catamaran Cruise to Gabriel Island in the North – Shared

This full day catamaran cruise to Gabriel Island is a day out full of sun, delicious food, drinks, beautiful beaches, snorkeling, swimming, relaxation and lots of fun.

Imagine the perfect postcard, looking out across the ocean, taking in the blues and greens melding seamlessly together with the endless white sandy beaches. Seabeds that take your breath away and beautiful islands which make you feel like you are the first person to ever set foot on them.

Your trip departs from Grand Bay, situated in the North of the island at 9am. During the voyage you pass by Coin de Mire and Flat Island, where you will see the “Pailles en Queue” birds flying high in the sky and if you’re really lucky you might even spot some Whales and Dolphins.

Our dedicated and attentive crew members will gladly guide you through the exquisite waters of the North and entice you into the Mauritian ambience with some Sega music, whilst serving a wide range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, cocktails and other beverages. Once moored next to Gabriel Island the BBQ lunch buffet will be prepared on board giving you time for some snorkelling, swimming or exploring, returning back to the island at 4pm.

Time & Itinerary:
08:45 – Embark on the Catamaran  from the Jetty at Sunset Boulevard, Grand Bay (Welcome by the skipper and staff-Boarding on the boat)
09:00 – Catamaran departs & sails by Coin De Mire Island towards Gabriel Island – (Drinks are served during trip)
11:30 – Approx – Arrive at Gabriel Island – Passengers are disembarked on the beach for swimming & snorkelling – (Snorkeling equipment is available at the office on rental Rs 200. per set (palm, mask & tuba).
13:00 – Approx – Fish & Chicken BBQ, Sausages lunch is served on board with various salads & drinks accompanied with sega music – On Reservation, please advise which Guests are vegetarian 
14:30 – Approx – Catamaran leaves Gabriel Island
15:00 – Approx – Stop at Coin de Mire for more Snorkelling (If weather permits) – Tea Time: Cake & Coffee Served
16:00 – Approx – Arrive back at the jetty of Sunset Boulevard of Grand-Bay
