Start your full day adventure with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Cape Town or its surrounds. The exact time of the collection will be confirmed via email the day before your trip. A short 45-55 minute drive will take you to Simon’s Town, where the adventure begins.

At the Apex Shark Expeditions shop, you’ll meet the crew, sign indemnities and enjoy a warm cup of complimentary tea or coffee with biscuits. Once aboard the White Pointer II, a full safety and weather briefing is given before departure.

The shark tours in False Bay or Cape Point offer different experiences, each one unique and exciting. Depending on the day’s conditions and shark activity, you could encounter Seven gill cow sharks, Mako Sharks, Blue sharks and, if you’re lucky, even great white sharks. Rest assured, the location for the day will offer the best shark activity and sea conditions.

Not just about sharks, you’ll also often encounter whales, dolphins, and many species of sea birds. It’s like going on a marine safari game drive.

Once anchored, the crew will begin attracting sharks to the vessel. The cage is then deployed and floats next to the vessel. If the weather conditions are favourable, guests will be readied for cage diving. However, it’s important to know that it’s not necessary to enter the cage to get a good view of the sharks. The shark trip duration is approximately 3+ hours, offering plenty of opportunities for thrilling encounters.

After the adrenaline-pumping shark expedition, there’s time to unwind in Simon’s Town. Here, you can enjoy a meal at one of the many excellent restaurants. Salty Sea Dog for classic fish n’ chips, or the Lighthouse Cafe for unique and delicious dishes. Note that lunch costs are not included in the tour price.

The day doesn’t end here. If you’re up for it, you can head out to the vineyards to sip fine wines while taking in the scenic beauty of the Cape. The Constantia Winelands, founded in 1679, is known for its wine-growing potential and magnificent scenery. Here, you will visit the Groot Constantia Winery, part of a lineage of royalty and noble men who have savoured these wines for centuries. If time permits, a visit to Constantia Glen, a picturesque boutique wine estate with breath-taking views, will round off your day before returning to your hotel at around 5pm.
