Embark on a thrilling, half-day shark tour with us in the beautiful Cape Town, where you’ll get up close and personal with some of the ocean’s most incredible predators. Throughout the year, we carefully calibrate our trips according to the seasons, weather, water temperature, and other factors to ensure an optimal experience. Our focus is on large, powerful, and active shark species, like the bronze whaler shark that can grow to an impressive 3.5 meters, and the magnificent seven-gill shark.
Just like a safari game drive, we adopt an eco-system style of operating our trips, aiming to bring you as much marine wildlife as possible. Our guests often encounter whales, dolphins, and a variety of sea birds on this adventurous expedition. Each trip is unique, and while sightings are not guaranteed, the guest feedback on our dives has been outstanding. You can read reviews on Google or TripAdvisor to hear firsthand accounts of these unforgettable shark diving experiences.
Our departure point is conveniently located in Simon’s Town, just 45-55 minutes from Cape Town city center, 15 minutes from the Cape of Good Hope, and a mere 2-minute drive from the charming Boulders Beach Penguin Colony. We’re proud to be an officially licensed Shark Cage diving Operator with a certified crew specifically trained for this industry. In addition to our regular half-day trips, we provide SCUBA on request, no experience required for breath-hold, and we also accommodate large groups on our newest vessel, Ceto.
Our shark tours include dive gear, tea/coffee/biscuits upon arrival, a light lunch, snacks, and refreshments on board. We have two departures daily, with the first trip departing anytime from 06:45 – 09:00 am and the second trip from 10:30 to 13:00 pm. Please note that the exact times will be communicated via email the day before and are subject to change.
Our area, near Seal Island, False Bay, Cape Town, is famous for its marine life and has been featured in numerous documentaries like Air Jaws on the Discovery Channel. If conditions allow, you’ll also have a chance to see the 65,000 strong Cape Fur seal colony on Seal Island, the largest island-based seal colony in Africa, and various sea birds like the Cape cormorant, Bank cormorant, African penguins, and Black Backed kelp gull.
