There’s something profoundly magical about being on the water at sunrise. The world is just waking up, the air is still, and the only sound you hear is the gentle lull of the water and the early morning song of the birds. This serene, untouched beauty is what you find when you embark on a sunrise cruise on the river by the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. It’s an enchanting experience that many guests choose to enjoy on their last day at the Falls, as a fitting farewell to the majesty of the Zambezi.

As you glide on the still water, the sun begins to rise over the Victoria Falls, casting a golden hue and bringing the landscape alive. The view is nothing short of breathtaking. It’s as if you’re witness to a secret performance, a symphony of nature choreographed with the break of dawn. This serene spectacle, popular with visitors, is a gentle reminder of the beauty that Zimbabwe has to offer.

But it’s not just about the view. The sunrise cruise is also a feast for your taste buds. As you soak in the awe-inspiring sight, you are served a selection of hot tea, coffee, refreshing juice, water, and delicious muffins. It’s a simple but delightful spread that complements the stunning surroundings. The aroma of fresh coffee, the subtle sweetness of the muffins, and the cool juice add another layer to this sensory experience.

The cruise wraps up in time for you to head back to your hotel and continue the day with a hearty hotel breakfast. While the cruise provides a light snack, the hotel breakfast is a chance to indulge in a variety of local and international dishes.

In a nutshell, a sunrise cruise by the Victoria Falls is more than just a sightseeing experience. It’s a celebration of nature, a culinary delight, and an opportunity to say a memorable goodbye to the stunning Zambezi. So, if you’re planning a trip to Zimbabwe, make sure you add this magical experience to your itinerary.
