Mauritius: Semi-Submersible – The Nessee Coral Reef ride in a Boat

Take a trip amongst the beautiful coral reef in The Nessee, a partially submerged vessel that is unique in Mauritius and resembles a surfaced submarine.

This excursion is a great way for adults and children to discover the beautiful colourful Coral reef and marine life without getting wet and makes it an ideal activity for children who are fascinated by watching fish up close.
During this one hour and forty-five minute trip, you will be comfortably seated below sea level in an air-conditioned cabin which offers you an up-close and personal view of marine life all explained by commentary from the guide.

Once you have boarded you will descend to seats surrounded by big glass windows which showcase a fantastic underwater world of different species of marine life.

At any time throughout this journey, you can take a break and go on deck to bask in the sun or take in the scenery of the beautiful lagoon, the beaches and the Mauritius landscape.
There is a key moment during this trip where the Nessee will come to a complete stop along the reef. This is where you can choose to go for a swim or even enjoy some snorkelling and take a closer look at the beautiful coral reef. (Equipment will be provided)
The return journey takes a different route navigating you to another part of the lagoon to experience other species of marine life swimming around such as turtles, rays and barracudas to name but a few.
